Living in the Annapolis Valley has definitely fostered a lot of wonderful friendships — one of which is with this beautiful couple, Hannah and Mitch.

“The feel or look of what we’re going for is rustic with a mix of modern boho,” when asked what their vision was for their wedding. And with the help of their family and friends, they were definitely able to pull it off! Their day started off with a bit of rain and when the forecast was still unclear towards the afternoon, they decided to move their ceremony inside her uncle’s barn in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. There were a lot of personal elements incorporated as part of their wedding — for instance, the lovely dress that Hannah wore was made by her aunt who was an incredible seamstress. After the ceremony, they also chose to exchange their personal vows privately, inside their truck, before leaving for some bridal portraits at Grand Pre National Historic Site. Most of the rustic decor at the reception site were DIY which turned out amazing! And who would’ve thought we would have such a magical sunset to end the day with after a rainy start. A lot of laughter and tears were shared and it truly was a great way to start our wedding season last year!

Hannah and Mitch, thank you for making us feel like family! We hope you know how wonderful you both are and how special you make everyone around you feel. We are so grateful to you both for making us part of your day.
