Our "Day in the Life" series was born out of our fascination and love for people and the different lives they have.  This first one couldn't have happened at a better time.  Pring and I been toying with the idea for some time now and thought to launch it by spring this year.  We had been commissioned to do a family session with Sarah, whom we shot a newborn session with a few months back.  We met for a consultation, we threw ideas around.  When she mentioned, "document our day" and "less of the posing", that was it!  I couldn't believe what a great coincidence it was!  Off I went that day, immensely excited with our session the coming few weeks.  At this time, we were still reeling from an awful winter and I couldn't wait for spring to come.

I was up at 2am, thinking it was already 5.  Tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't.  I don't think I was anxious.  Maybe I was.  Out of bed I finally was at 5.  On the road before 6, I had a drive-thru breakfast at McDonald's along the way.  Of course, I didn't want to shoot on an empty stomach!  I arrived shortly before sunrise, with Sarah waiting for me by the door.  Here's what transpired at the Morris household:

Sleep’s overrated.

Do I miss work? No.

When we go out by ourselves, the best part is going home to see her.

Life with Sophia is busy. But we love every minute of it. Never a dull moment.
